Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
This policy explains what personal information GoSoftSolutions collects when you visit www.gosoftsolutions.co.za, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this marketing website only — our products (such as BizGo and KiddieGo) have their own privacy policies which apply to data you give them as a user.
1. Who we are
The responsible party (under POPIA) and controller (under GDPR) for this site is:
GoSoftSolutions (Pty) Ltd
Registration number: 2026 / 409253 / 07
Email: info@gosoftsolutions.co.za
2. What we collect on this site
This site is a static brochure. It has no login, no contact form, and no user accounts — there is nothing here for you to sign up to. The only data generated by your visit is what your browser sends automatically in the normal course of loading a page: your IP address, the URL you requested, the referring page, your user-agent string, and a timestamp. This is processed by our hosting provider and by Cloudflare (see section 3) in standard server and edge logs, for operational purposes — serving the page, debugging, and preventing abuse — and then discarded. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
3. Cloudflare, and the analytics we do run
This site sits behind Cloudflare, which acts as our content delivery network, TLS terminator, and security layer. Every request to this site passes through Cloudflare's network before it reaches our origin server, so Cloudflare processes the request data described in section 2 on our behalf in order to serve pages quickly and block malicious traffic.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and
which pages they read. Cloudflare automatically injects a small measurement script
(served from static.cloudflareinsights.com) into the pages of this
site. It reports aggregated page views, referrers, country, and page-load
performance.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-first by design: it does not
use cookies, does not fingerprint your device or browser, and does
not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites. We
cannot identify an individual visitor from it, and the data is not shared with any
advertising network. Because it is cookieless and does not track you across sites,
it does not require a consent banner. If you would still rather not be counted,
blocking static.cloudflareinsights.com in your browser or ad blocker
stops the measurement entirely, and the site will work exactly as before.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, or any other behavioural or cross-site tracking on this site.
4. Cookies and local storage
We do not set any cookies of our own on this site, and there are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Two things do store data in your browser:
- Your theme choice. If you switch this site between light and
dark mode, we save that preference in your browser's local storage (under the
key
gss-theme) so the site remembers it next visit. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and contains nothing that identifies you. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. - Cloudflare security cookies. If Cloudflare's bot-protection or
challenge features are triggered by a request, Cloudflare may set a strictly
necessary security cookie (such as
__cf_bmorcf_clearance). These are used only to distinguish humans from bots and to keep the site available; they are not used for tracking or advertising.
5. Fonts and other third-party requests
Pages on this site load typefaces from Google Fonts
(fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). To deliver
the font files, Google receives your IP address and browser information as part of
that request. We do not send Google anything else about you, and we do not use
Google Fonts for tracking, but the request is made from your browser to Google's
servers and is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
6. If you email us
When you email an address listed on this site, we receive your email address, name (if you include it), and whatever you write. We keep that correspondence for as long as we need to handle your enquiry and a reasonable period after, then we delete it. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share your email with third parties.
7. Who your data reaches, and where
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. The only third parties involved in running this site are:
- Cloudflare — CDN, security, and web analytics (section 3);
- Our web host — serves the site files and keeps server logs;
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces (section 5).
Cloudflare and Google operate global networks, so the limited technical data described above may be processed on servers outside South Africa (and, for visitors in the EU/UK, outside the EEA/UK). Where that happens we rely on those providers' data-transfer safeguards — including standard contractual clauses — so that the information receives a level of protection required by POPIA section 72 and the GDPR. No content you send us by email is transferred for these purposes.
8. Your rights (POPIA / GDPR)
Under POPIA and GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to processing or withdraw consent at any time;
- lodge a complaint with the relevant regulator (in South Africa, the Information Regulator).
Email info@gosoftsolutions.co.za and we will respond within 30 days.
Because we hold no account for you, a request about your visit to this site will usually be met with an explanation that we cannot link the technical data in section 2 to you as an individual — we have no way to identify which log entries are yours.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects how we handle your data, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be flagged clearly at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
